Shoppers race to Flying Tiger for ingenious packaway fan that fits in your handbag and it’s only £1.50

WHILE most people are looking forward to the weather heating up, those who struggle with sweating are dreading it.

So it’s no wonder they’re racing to Flying Tiger to pick up a £1.50 packaway fan, that will no doubt prove to be a saviour in the scorching weather.

Jodie took to TikTok to share her “best summer handbag purchase”, as she showed off the ingenious product.

“I have just bought something f**king sick,” she said.

“So this is from Tiger, and it comes like this so you can put in your handbag for summer.

“Guys, you’re not ready!”

She then got the budget-friendly fan out of its little pouch, which had the words “heat wave” written on the front”.

And it popped up to be a full circle, that can then be used as a fan – once again with “heat wave” printed on the front.

“How amazing!” Jodie gushed.

“And then you just, like, fold it back up like that.

“And you put it back in the pocket, and then you put it back in your handbag.

“How amazing!”

As well as the heat wave design, the foldable fan comes in a variety of other colours and themes.

There’s one with butterflies, one that says “Keeping it chill”, a flamingo one and another that says “the wind beneath my wings”.

In the description of the butterfly fan, Flying Tiger bosses wrote on their website: “This delightful blue foldable fan with a butterfly motif is your go-to for staying cool on the move.

“It pops up to a practical 23 x 23 cm and tucks neatly into its pouch, making it a perfect blend of function and whimsy for your daily adventures.”

How to stay safe in hot weather

The UK Health Security Agency advised you follow these tips to reduce your risk of dehydration, heat exhaustion and heatstroke:

  • Keep out of the sun at the hottest time of the day, between 11am and 3pm
  • If you are going to do a physical activity like exercising or walking the dog, plan to do these during times of the day when it is cooler such as the morning or evening
  • Keep your home cool by closing windows and curtains in rooms that face the sun
  • If you go outside, cover up with light clothing, a hat and sunglasses and slather on sun cream
  • Drink plenty of fluids but limit booze
  • Know the symptoms of heat exhaustion and heatstroke and what to do if you or someone else has them
  • Check on family, friends and neighbours who may be at higher risk of becoming unwell, and if you are at higher risk, ask them to do the same for you

According to the Met Office, it’s set to rise to a balmy 23C in London on Saturday and Sunday.

However, there’s a chance more thunder is on the way early next week.

Parents are looking for different ways to keep their kids cool in the heat, and there’s a clearance bargain in Tesco that would do just the trick.

Millie took to the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group on Facebook to share the epic deal, posting a picture of the bargain and writing: “8ft 3D swimming pool.

“Comes with goggles to make the fish on the floor 3D.

“£11.25 in Tesco!”

People were quick to comment on the post, with one writing: “Proper bargain!”

“We need this,” another said, tagging a mate.

As a third commented: “I got one last week for £5.65.”

“Oh wow, that’s good!” someone else wrote.
