Target Specialty Products launches Turf Fuel Mitigate

Target Specialty Products, a provider of turf and ornamental solutions in the U.S. and Canada, is launching Turf Fuel Mitigate, a product for turf professionals designed to condition high-performance turfgrass to tolerate extreme stress. 

Mitigate is designed to protect finely maintained turf from various stress factors during the growing season. According to the company, it prepares turf for intense stress through a mixture containing 5 percent nitrogen, sea kelp, reacted sugars and the unique biostimulant group Templar. 

“Turf Fuel products are developed to serve a specific purpose, provide exceptional performance and offer great value to turf professionals,” said Eric Miltner, PhD., product development manager at Target Specialty Products. “During university trials, Mitigate provided enhanced stress tolerance during the hottest times of summer as well as during the coolest and wettest times in winter.” 

Mitigate is the second product in the Turf Fuel portfolio that includes Templar technology. Target introduced Templar as a component in Infinite in 2021, and according to the company, it has proven to be a valuable tool for turf managers. 

Templar’s two active ingredients, a collection of amino acids and a unique phytochemical, Bio M, optimize water use, improve stomatal efficiency and enhance energy production even under environmental stress, according to the company. Bio M offers potent antioxidant and stress-fighting properties, enabling turf to excel under UV damage, drought and temperature fluctuations.
