Woman arrested after standoff situation in SW Oklahoma City

UPDATE: The woman was arrested and is in custody, no one was harmed in the process.

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — Oklahoma City Police are on the scene of a barricaded suspect in SW Oklahoma City.

Officials say the situation happened at an apartment complex near SW 59th Street and S May Avenue.

According to OKCPD, it started as a domestic disturbance between two females.

Authorities say one of the women involved in the domestic disturbance shot at the other. The suspect who shot the weapon has barricaded themselves inside of the apartment.

Police told News 4 they have evacuated the nearby apartments close to the suspect.

The victim is said to have minor injuries.
