Jennings mother whose baby died in a hot car charged with murder

JENNINGS, La. (KLFY) -- A Jennings woman whose child died after being left in a hot car last week has been charged with murder, jail records show.

Hannah Faith Cormier, 32, of Jennings is charged with second degree murder and cruelty to juveniles, according to the Jeff Davis Parish Jail booking report.

Cormier is charged in connection with the death of her 10-month-old daughter, whom she allegedly left in the back of a car inadvertently Tuesday afternoon after being called into work.

The child, who was hospitalized after spending about 90 minutes in the car, died Wednesday night.

Cormier is being held without bond, according to jail records.
