Horizon: An American Saga — Chapter 1 Is Trotting Onto Max
If Kevin Costner’s western really is for the dads out there, then they’re in luck, because there’s nothing a dad loves more than to put on a movie they’ll claim they saw all the way through but actually nodded off to about a third of the way in. This is all to say Horizon: An American Saga — Chapter 1 is coming to Max this week, on Friday, August 23. After a tepid run at the box office, Costner’s original release plan — sending Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 of his western series to theaters mere weeks apart — didn’t quite pan out. Instead, they’re hoping to corral more of you to watch Chapter 1. Hopefully Chapter 2 will get a new wide-release date on the books soon; it’s debuting September 7 at Venice International Film Festival. Then maybe we’ll even get the planned Chapter 3, and Chapter 4, too, eventually.
