How the advent of e-commerce has reinvented the growth of traditional retail

The Pahle India Foundation released a report dismissing fears of widespread kirana store closures due to ecommerce. A pan-India survey revealed that less than 20% of vendors observed store closures, with only 6% blaming online shopping. Ecommerce, currently at 7.8% of India’s retail trade, positively impacts employment and consumer welfare.
