BA stewardess racially abused by Blue’s Lee Ryan suspended over ‘inflight behaviour’

A BRITISH Airways stewardess who accused Blue star Lee Ryan of abusing her has been suspended following “concern over her inflight behaviour”.

Leah Gordon was grounded after a flight to Malaga when business class passengers questioned her professionalism.

Colleagues were also alarmed over how she interacted with customers on last month’s flight and in other recent situations.

Leah was at the centre of a race row over an incident on a BA flight that led to singer Ryan, 41, being convicted last year.

But sources say she is now the focus of an investigation after becoming “frustrated” with passengers when they had pressed the assistance button above their seats.

A pilot was said to have been among BA staff worried about Leah’s alleged “shoddy performance”.

The hostess is also likely to be in trouble for posting suggestive videos online of herself in her BA uniform.

One is captioned: “So if you wanna come to my hotel all you gotta do is holla at me.”

One BA insider said: “The feedback from passengers about Leah’s inflight work manner was alarming. And colleagues were not impressed by her behaviour.”

Airline bosses suspended Leah following the flight to Spain and launched a probe.

Ryan got a 12-month suspended prison sentence after he was found guilty last September of racially aggravated common assault against Leah in July 2022.

He was also ordered to pay £2,500 compensation to the stewardess.

Dad-of-four Ryan had drunkenly harassed her during the BA flight from Glasgow to London.

He had told her that he wanted her “chocolate children”.

Leah said in court: “It felt like he was saying I was beautiful for a black person because of the way he was describing my colour.”

Asked about Leah’s suspension, BA said: “It wouldn’t be appropriate to comment while we continue to investigate the matter.”
