Pete, who is set to join 14 other celebs in the BBC dance competition from next month, admitted he was a “broken person” after seeing a doctor.

TV star Pete said on this Staying Relevant podcast: “There has been an update on Strictly.

“I have now met everyone. It was very much first day of school vibes. And we basically did speed dating.”

He then explained that his posture had been negatively impacted over the years and also had flat feet.

Pete went on: “I had come straight from the physio and the doctors and the physio had basically told me that I’m a broken person and not entirely sure how I’m alive.

“I’ve got broken bones that I didn’t even know about. Genuinely, not even joking, she was like ‘do you know that’s broke?’ and I was like ‘Is it?’

“She was like your body just seems to be overcompensating so you now have a weird posture.

“In physio, they get you to do these weird movements and you can just hear ‘crack, crack’… my bones were just cracking.

“She was like ‘that’s another one’. She was like ‘you crack a lot, don’t you.’ I was like ‘yes, I’ve not moved like this in a while’.”

He added: “And I’ve got flat feet, I’ve got foot exercises and a full physio programme.

“I’ve got this video and I have to do these foot exercises every morning.

“I’ve got a physio programme already after day one.”

It comes not long after it was revealed that Pete has landed a huge new TV job alongside a Love Island icon Olivia Attwood,  for her ITV reality show Bad Boyfriends.

The series kicked off this week and new images show Pete tricking the men taking part into thinking he is the host of a host of a new show called Brotopia.

Speaking of his new role, Pete said: “Flying to Greece the play the role of a fake host on a show called Brotopia wasn’t something I ever expected to be doing – it was such a great experience – and made even better when my pal Olivia arrived and crashed the party!

“The cast are brilliant and I’m looking forward to watching the series back and seeing if the couples can work on strengthening their relationship with Olivia’s help.”

Bad Boyfriends sees eight naughty men put through challenges in a bid to reform their behaviour for their long-suffering girlfriends.

The cast includes former Love Island Casa Amor bombshell Bayley and his Ex on the Beach star girlfriend Anya.

Meanwhile Pete recently fuelled romance rumours with another Love Island star, Faye Winter.

The pair were seen looking very cosy as they attended Vicky Pattison and Ercan Ramadan’s wedding at the weekend.

It comes just weeks after Pete was snapped snogging fellow Love Island alumni Maura Higgins during a day out in London.
