NCLT sanctions Star-Viacom18 merger scheme after CCI clearance

The Mumbai bench of the National Company Law Tribunal has approved the merger between Star India and Reliance Industries Limited's Viacom18, post the Competition Commission of India’s conditional nod. This merger will form India's largest media entity, incorporating several TV channels and streaming platforms like JioCinema, absorbing Disney+ Hotstar.
