Razorbacks Double Down on Stellar Swims

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – In evening finals action, the Razorbacks earned 4 podium finishes in yet another solid showing in the Hawkeye Invite.

The Razorbacks notched a win in the 200 Free Relay, posting a 1:29.87 finish, edging out San Diego State by two-tenths of a second. Following the Hogs’ strong start, Reka Rohacs battled to a 5th-place finish in the 500 Freestyle with a 4:50.38 swim. Sydney Craft came in just one second behind Rohacs, finishing 8th. Holly Robinson continued a string of solid performances in the 200 IM with a 3rd-place finish and a time of 2:00.18. In the 50 Freestyle, Bella Cothern fought to a 2nd-place finish, posting a speedy 22.46, just .02 off from her blazing morning prelim finish. The Razorbacks rounded out the night with a 5th-place finish in the 400 Medley Relay.

Lotti Hubert dove to a whopping 327.00 in the 1-meter springboard event, posting her best score of the season. Malea Martinez posted a 6th-place finish in tonight’s 1-meter finals with a score of 285.85.

Coach Harper commented that “It was a great night and getting wins in the 200 Free Relay and 1m diving made for a great start!
We need to be focused and confident at tomorrow morning’s prelims so we can compete in finals tomorrow evening.”

The Razorbacks will be back in action tomorrow morning at 9:00 am CST for prelims. All of tomorrow’s events will be streamed here.
