My man forgot I dumped him after getting concussion -he kept acting like we were together so I caved & now we’re married
A WOMAN has revealed that her boyfriend forgot she had broken up with him after suffering from a skiing accident.
Jenna Brotherson, 27, married her now husband Mitchell, 27, just seven months after the incident, after he kept acting like the couple were still together.
Jenna decided to end things with her man as she was too overwhelmed[/caption] Mitchell got concussion and forgot about the breakup[/caption] The pair are now married[/caption]Back in February 2020, Jenna, from Utah ended things with Mitchell, as she was “too overwhelmed.”
However, the next day, Mitchell attempted a flip whilst skiing and blacked out.
He ended up in hospital with a concussion, and called Jenna to ask him to pick her up, as he couldn’t drive.
“I’m like, ‘Why is he messaging me this? I just broke up with him,’” Jenna said in a TikTok video.
“Mitch kept messaging me and trying to hang out after his concussion and I was confused as to why he would keep messaging me because we had broken up,” added.
“I thought that maybe he took the statement of staying friends really seriously.
“It even was to the point when I told him that my roommates and I had a hard day and he came and brought us ice cream.”
Due to Mitchell’s kindness, she realised that breaking up with him had been a mistake.
She asked him if he wanted to get back together with her, and realised that he had no idea that they had broken up.
Thankfully, after finding out what had happened, Mitchell took things well.
“He thought it was super funny and I was relieved.
“It made it easy to get back together because to him, we never weren’t together!”
Just five months later the couple were engaged, and in September 2020, they got married.
Jenna said: “During my husband’s speech, he brought up not remembering the breakup but how he is so grateful that it all worked out in the end.”
Her video, posted under the username @jennabrotherson, has likely left many open-mouthed, as it has racked up over 1.9 million views.
TikTok users raced to the video’s comments section to share their thoughts.
