A lucky ticket holder in the UK has just won the third-biggest National Lottery jackpot of all time.

One person has just won the EuroMillions jackpot in Tuesday evening’s draw, winning a massive £177million.

The hunt is now on for the person who bought that incredibly lucky ticket, so they can claim their huge prize.

Andy Carter, senior winners adviser at Allwyn, said: ‘Wow, it has been a truly incredible night for a single UK ticket holder who has scooped tonight’s jaw-dropping £177 million EuroMillions jackpot.

‘The win has landed them a spot on The National Lottery’s Rich List, as they have become the third biggest National Lottery winner of all time.

‘What a wonderful win right before Christmas, and we cannot wait to pay out this amazing prize.

‘Players are urged to check their tickets and to give us a call if they think they are tonight’s lucky winner.’

The winning numbers were 07, 11, 25, 31 and 40, with Lucky Stars 09, 12.

It’s only been a few days since a mystery winner claimed a massive £2.6million Lotto jackpot, nearly two weeks after the winning numbers had been announced.

In that case, two ticket holders won and split the £5.2million jackpot, with the first claiming their half of the prize pretty quickly – and who could blame them?

Most lottery wins result in lifechanging amounts of money – as these previous winners explain – but it’s not all plain sailing as some winners can come across problems after claiming their win.

The winner will be wealthier than former One Direction member Harry Styles and heavyweight boxer Anthony Joshua, who are both worth £175million, according to the latest Sunday Times Rich List.

On July 19, 2022, an anonymous UK ticket-holder scooped the record EuroMillions jackpot of £195 million – the biggest National Lottery win of all time.

Tonight’s winner is just behind Joe and Jess Thwaite, from Gloucester, who scooped a then record-breaking £184,262,899 with a Lucky Dip ticket for the draw on May 10, 2022.
