Man sentenced to 25 years for northeast Austin murder

AUSTIN (KXAN) -- A man was convicted of murder in connection with a shooting that happened in September 2018 in northeast Austin, according to court documents.

Isaac Thomas was sentenced to 25 years in prison after he entered a guilty plea, court documents said.

The Austin Police Department responded to the shooting that happened at an apartment complex on East Parmer Lane. When officers arrived, they found 26-year-old Joshua Hardesty who was shot several times. Police said he was trying to sell several pounds of marijuana to Thomas.

Thomas is entitled to 2,122 days of jail credit, according to court documents.
