A BRIDE got the shock of her life after a rat fell through the ceiling as she stood at the altar on her wedding day.
In a clip which has gone viral, Tamara Alsawaf-Valli showed how she had been mid-vows when the rodent took a tumble in front of her entire wedding.
On her @tamaraalsawaf account, she wrote: “That time I was marrying the love of my life in the dreamiest ceremony ever and then a RAT fell from the ferns above us.”
The breathtaking wedding venue had foliage covering the ceiling, which the rat must have been exploring when it slipped.
As the groom said in his speech: “Surrounded by all our loved ones”, the creature decided to make its grand entrance.
After rustling could be seen in the ferns above the bride and groom, the rodent fell down a few metres before hitting the floor.
Comically, the rat could be seen bouncing a few times in front of the wedding guests before running away to hide.
The photographer and videographer appeared to have noticed the bizarre moment and rushed forwards.
Meanwhile, the bride and groom seemed to turn round in shock too, with the groom saying: “That may have been perfect timing.”
Thankfully Tamara seemed to see the funny side of the unexpected animal encounter.
She wrote: “POV you’re getting married and the love of your life is saying the most perfect and emotional vows when suddenly a surprise guest falls from the plants above us.
“Ratatouille crashed the wedding and made it a moment we will certainly never forget.
“It’s the bounce for me.”
Her video has been viewed 5.8million times, and people were shocked in the comments but found it hysterical.
One said: “Rat heard “loved ones” and thought it wasn’t welcome.”
A second joked: “My MIL showing up after she didn’t get an invite.”
And a third commented: “CongRATulations.”
A fourth added: “He must have been so embarrassed lol.”
Even the Google TikTok account wrote a response, saying: “are you *sure* you didn’t send them a Google Calendar invite?”
Others said the rat had been watching as she resembles a “Disney princess” in her wedding dress.

I’ll tell you when, never, because there is NO universal gift everyone is going to love – unless you want to bankrupt yourself buying Rolexes and Tiffany jewellery, and even then they wouldn’t be to everyone’s taste.
So why do brides still pile the stress (and expense) of wedding favours on top of everything else we have to organise?
I’ve been to dozens of weddings over the past five years so when I got engaged, I already had a mental list of dos and don’ts for my own big day, and ditching wedding favours was firmly on it.
The cost of buying an individual present for everyone coming is huge, meaning many couples try and keep it in the under-a-fiver category.
But the reality is no-one wants a cheap, ill-thought-out keepsake – they’d probably rather one more free drink from the bar.
It’s not only that, wedding handbags are notoriously small, with no room to stuff an unexpected gift in, and catering waiters have a bad habit of whisking away the wedding favours when they’re clearing the coffee mug off the tables.
I bet none of my guests will even notice the lack of random gift on their dining table.
If you really hate the idea of not buying something for your guests, charity donations are always a nice gesture.
But the last thing your friends and family need is more random tat cluttering up their homes – so it’s time to save them the guilt of binning your Etsy-bought keyring.
