FORECAST DISCUSSION:
Warmer conditions kick off the weekend in central Ohio. Temperatures are expected to return above the freezing point. This time several towns and cities, including Columbus, will even hit the low 40s. This will all be paired with plenty of sunshine. Winds will be a bit breezy in the afternoon and evening hours. Gusts will reach 25 mph+ at times.
Tonight a few more clouds roll in becoming partly cloudy. Overnight lows will be near the freezing point, but finally will be a little above average for this time of year. Winds will continue to stay breezy tonight.
Tomorrow is going to feel quite pleasant in comparison to the weather Central Ohio has seen recently. Highs will break the 50 degree mark for the first time in almost 2 weeks. Mostly sunny skies start off Sunday, but as the day goes on more clouds will very slowly roll in. That southwest breeze is not going away any time soon.
Everything changes Sunday night in Monday. Plenty of rain showers will push their way into the area. Most of the rain is going to fall during the morning commute hours. Even with the rain Monday will kick off the new work week in the low 50s for our daytime high.
Scattered rain chanced on Tuesday will become light wintry mix chanced on Wednesday. In total .5"-1" of rain is expected to fall over the course of those three days. Temps take a dip in the middle of the week back to well below normal. This will be followed by a rebound by next weekend.
