KU football promotes Zebrowski to offensive coordinator
LAWRENCE (KSNT) - KU football and head coach Lance Leipold have named a new offensive coordinator ahead of the 2025-26 season.
Jim Zebrowski, former co-offensive coordinator, is the program's new offensive coordinator, Coach Leipold announced Saturday. Zebrowski has been with Kansas since 2021 and on staff with Leipold for the past seven seasons, but their connections date back to their Division III days at Wisconsin-Whitewater.
“Jim and I have worked together for more than 10 years and he has a great knowledge of the game and our offense,” head coach Lance Leipold said is a press release from KU Athletics. “Jim has been instrumental in our success and will continue to push our program forward. He is a quality mentor to our student-athletes and takes pride in being a Jayhawk.”
'Coach Z' has coached and mentored quarterbacks Jalon Daniels and Jason Bean in his time at Kansas, and was KU's nominee for the Broyles Award in 2023, which is given to the best assistant coach in college football.
Former OC Jeff Grimes and Wisconsin have reached a deal for him to serve the same role with the Badgers, according to ESPN. Grimes served just one year at Kansas after three-year stints with both Baylor and BYU.
