Nortiv 8 may not be a household name, but on Amazon, it's one of the most popular footwear brands for men. The brand makes an affordable running shoe that some shoppers say rivals Hoka's high-stack models and its Armadillo hiking boots have been in contention for the No. 1 bestseller spot for months on end. The brand recently launched a hybrid snow and hiking boot that's warmer, waterproof, and perfect for being out in the cold, and it just went on sale.
Nortiv 8's new Insulated Waterproof Hiking Boots are currently on sale for just $40 on Amazon—20% off their normal $50 list price. These boots just launched a season ago, but they're already getting love from reviewers who have used them recently and have found that they're "warm, waterproof, lightweight, and have excellent support." They're available right now in three colors—black, tan, and brown—and come in sizes 8 to 13.

These boots are made with a durable water-resistant polyurethane upper and have a waterproof shield and a gusseted tongue that'll keep debris, rain, slush, and snow at bay for up to four hours. The brand used a 3M thermal liner to insulate this hiking boot from every angle, even the insole. They won't just keep you dry, they'll appease your feet too thanks to their cushioned EVA foam midsole that absorbs shock and sharp roots, rocks, and sticks. But no hiking boot is complete without a well-treaded sole, and this one has deep lugs that'll make quick work on any terrain, no matter how jagged or slippery.
They may have just debuted, but shoppers are already putting them to work. "Great in snow," one shopper said. "These are good boots at a good price. Well made, comfortable, and sturdy. I've been wearing them mainly while shoveling snow. So far, they have been warm and water (snow) proof."

And those who use them to hike even say they're built well. "I bought these shoes right before my hiking trip to Arkansas and they worked great," a shopper said. "Although I didn’t experience any cold weather, they are definitely waterproof—I stepped ankle-deep into a nasty mud pit, and my sock stayed dry. I’m surprised at how few scratches they have, considering some of the paths I took were riddled with thick thorns."
Although it doesn't have the fame of Keen or Merrell, Nortiv 8 makes some of the best budget boots you'll find anywhere, and if you're thinking about stepping out onto the trail this winter (or just need a good snow boot), this would be a great pick to keep you warm and sure-footed. We're not sure how long the discount will stick around, so make sure to get a pair in your cart ASAP.
