Rain to spoil the party in Brisbane Test? Weather report gives MASSIVE update

The third Test of the Border-Gavaskar series is set to commence from December 14 at the Gabba in Brisbane. However, rain could end up spoiling the party for the fans. Though Brisbane is an area that is largely unaffected by rainfall during this time of the year, it has seen torrential downpours of rain in recent days.

As per AccuWeather, there is an 88 percent probability of rain on December 14, the first day of the Test match. There is also a possibility of thunderstorms occurring on the same day.

As per the forecast, the rain is expected to lessen over the course of the next 4 days. However, a morning rain shower has been predicted for the second day as well. While little to no rain is predicted on Day 3 and Day 5, an afternoon shower is on the cards on Day 4.  

The first 2 Tests were completely unaffected by rain despite weather reports predicting a shower during the match at the Optus Stadium in Perth. The conditions at the Adelaide Oval also remained perfect throughout the 3 days of play.

Most of the third Test is expected to have cloudy and overcast conditions, which could further aid fast bowling. Rain may even cause the match to go on for 5 days. If that happens, then the Brisbane Test will become the first match of the series to go for over 4 days.
