Deepinder Goyal, the visionary CEO of Zomato, has lived two captivating love stories. His first was with Kanchan Joshi, whom he met during his time at IIT Delhi, and his second was with Grecia Muñoz, whom he was introduced to years later.

Deepinder met Kanchan Joshi while they were both studying in the Mathematics and Computing department at IIT Delhi. Kanchan was pursuing her MSc, and their shared academic environment brought them closer, especially during lab sessions.

In an interview with Forbes India, Deepinder revealed, “I chased her for six months.” His persistence eventually won her over, and the couple began dating. They tied the knot in 2007, marking the beginning of a beautiful journey. A year later, Deepinder co-founded Zomato with his close friend, Pankaj Chaddah, and the couple welcomed their daughter, Sitara, in 2013.

Reflecting on their bond, Deepinder shared, “We understand each other very well. We haven’t fought in years.”

Years after his first marriage, Deepinder found love again with Grecia Muñoz, a story he shared on The Great Indian Kapil Sharma Show. According to Deepinder, he was single for a long time when a friend decided to introduce him to Grecia during one of her visits to Delhi.

“I was single for the longest time. My friends would set me up on dates and advised me not to settle down,” Deepinder said. But when his friend introduced him to Grecia, the advice changed. “He said, ‘Make sure to meet her; you’ll end up marrying her.’” Intrigued by the recommendation, Deepinder met Grecia, and the connection was instant.
