Map reveals full list of Aldi stores opening in UK before Christmas

Supermarket giant Aldi has opened nearly a dozen new stores across the UK – and just in time for Christmas.

So, in other words, your holy Christmas trinity of cheese, turkey and wine and, let’s face it, more cheese, is sorted.

Christmas might be the most wonderful time of year but shopping during it isn’t.

Supermarkets can be rammed with crowds as people race to stock up their cupboards, while others cram in Christmas jumpers for that work do they really don’t want to go to.

Aldi, however, revealed last month that it plans to open 11 new branches in November and December.

They’ve now since all opened their doors up and down Britain. New sites include Sedgley in the West Midlands and Scotland’s Castle Douglas, a town of only a few thousand people.

The Aldi stores that have opened before Christmas can be found in:

Bilston Street, Sedgley, West Midlands

Oakwell Road, Castle Douglas, Dumfries and Galloway

Tanbridge Retail Park, Horsham, West Sussex

Straiton Road, Loanhead, Midlothian

Muswell Hill, Haringey, Greater London

Caernavon Road, Pwllheli, Gwynedd

Salisbury Road, Totton, Hampshire

Cribbs Causeway, Bristol

Colliery Lane, Hetton-le-Hole, Tyne and Wear

Princess Road, Ashton-in-Makerfield, Greater Manchester

Duff Street, Macduff, Banffshire

The latest openings form part of Aldi’s long-term target of 1,500 stores across the UK – with the supermarket set to invest £800 million in expanding its UK footprint this year alone.

Jonathan Neale, Real Estate Managing Director at Aldi UK, said: ‘At Aldi, we’re committed to making high-quality, affordable food accessible to everyone.

‘Our new store openings are a testament to our ongoing investment in the UK, and we’re thrilled to bring Aldi’s unbeatable prices to even more communities ahead of the festive season.’
