Another federal cyber scandal
The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation insures the safety of U.S. bank deposits worth $6.5 trillion for tens of millions of Americans and monitors the nation’s banks for their financial soundness. Its statement of purpose says it "promotes public confidence" in U.S. banks.
