Lavrov: Armenian leadership is sabotaging the agreement signed by Pashinyan regarding unblocking of communications through Syunik

ArmInfo. In the matter of unblocking communications through the Syunik region of Armenia, it is the Armenian leadership that is sabotaging the agreement signed by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in response to Channel One's inquiry whether the Armenian-Azerbaijani settlement was discussed yesterday during an informal meeting between the presidents of Russia and Azerbaijan.  The Russian minister admitted that what was discussed yesterday in a one-on-one meeting is a matter for the two presidents.  "During the press conference, they will surely mention their assessments of the current state of relations between Baku and Yerevan. We believe that it is crucial to adhere to both the spirit and letter of the series of trilateral agreements reached between the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia in 2020-2022 (1, 2, 3, 4). They address all aspects of the situation and outline the necessary steps to achieve a final and comprehensive resolution.

We support the prompt conclusion of a peace treaty and unblocking of communications. Unfortunately, it is the Armenian leadership that is hindering the agreement signed by Prime Minister N.V. Pashinyan, particularly in regards to communications through the Syunik region of Armenia. It is difficult to understand this position.  The framework established by the trilateral meetings and documents retains its relevance," Lavrov summed up.
