Third-Generation Honda Amaze Unveiled in India
Honda Cars India has launched the third-generation Amaze, marking its global debut in India. The compact sedan comes with a starting price of ₹7.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), offering an introductory price valid for 45 days. With updates to its design, safety, and connectivity features, the new Amaze aims to strengthen Honda’s presence in the compact sedan market.
A Design Reflecting Sophistication and Sportiness
The 2024 Honda Amaze sports a refreshed design under the concept “Iconic Lights & Impactful Strong Face.” The bold front fascia, LED projector headlamps, and distinctively styled LED taillamps contribute to its premium appearance. The aerodynamic silhouette enhances its sporty yet refined aesthetics, complemented by a new chequered grille and diamond-cut R15 alloy wheels. The sedan remains under four meters long, adhering to compact car regulations while offering a solid three-box design.
Enhanced Interiors for Comfort and Connectivity
Inside, the Amaze features a spacious cabin with two-tone beige and black interiors. The upgraded dashboard boasts an 8-inch floating HD display for infotainment, supporting wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A host of convenience features, including push-button start, rear AC vents, and a wireless smartphone charger, elevate the sedan’s user experience. Honda has also included its connected car technology, Honda Connect, offering over 37 features with a complimentary five-year subscription.
Focus on Safety with Segment-First ADAS
The new Amaze sets a benchmark for safety in the segment by incorporating Honda Sensing, its Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS). Features like Collision Mitigation Braking, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist, and Auto High-Beam enhance driver and passenger safety. Six airbags, Vehicle Stability Assist, and Hill Start Assist come standard across all variants. Additionally, Honda’s LaneWatch camera and multi-angle rear camera provide added safety and convenience.
Powertrain and Performance
The sedan is powered by a 1.2-liter i-VTEC petrol engine, compliant with E20 fuel standards, paired with either a 5-speed manual or a CVT. It delivers 90 PS of power and a claimed fuel efficiency of 19.46 km/l for the CVT and 18.65 km/l for the manual variant. Improved NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness) levels and a more robust chassis ensure a comfortable driving experience.
Price and Availability
The Amaze is offered in three trims—V, VX, and ZX—available in six color options, including a new Obsidian Blue Pearl. Prices range from ₹7.99 lakh to ₹10.89 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Honda also provides warranty packages, including a standard three-year unlimited kilometer warranty and options for extended coverage up to 10 years.
With its premium features and competitive pricing, the all-new Honda Amaze seeks to appeal to both urban families and young professionals looking for an entry-level sedan that combines style, safety, and reliability.
