'He has the personality to pull it off': Mukesh Khanna wants THIS South superstar to play Shaktimaan

Popular actor Mukesh Khanna, known for playing Shaktimaan was everyone's favourite superhero in their childhood. He also played the role of Bheeshma in the 90s Mahabharata series. Mukesh also reviews movies for his YouTube channel, Bheeshm International. This week, the actor reviewed Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2: The Rule. In a video titled Pushpa 2 Mera Review, Mukesh starts praising the premise of Pushpa 2. He talks about how South cinema backs a filmmaker's vision with the required money. The veteran actor said, 'A film isn't made with just the money. You need planning, and every single rupee invested in Pushpa is seen on the screen'.

Mukesh Khanna feels THIS actor has the qualities to be the next Shaktimaan

Mukesh Khanna spoke about the opening sequence of Pushpa 2, wherein South superstar Allu Arjun finds himself being left to hang in mid-air. The actor who reprised his role as Pushpa Raj in the sequel says a long monologue and fights the goons with machetes and machine guns. He said, 'The thing is, if you present larger-than-life content with conviction, people will accept it. Didn't Manmohan Desai make us believe that three people donated blood at the same time to their mother in an incredulous sequence in Amar Akbar Antony? Conviction makes us forget logic'.

Mukesh Khanna gave Allu Arjun's performance a solid 8-9 out of 10. He even suggested that the South star could portray Shaktimaan as he said, 'He has the personality to pull it off'. He also took a dig at Bollywood and said, 'South filmmakers respect religion, while Bollywood often mocks it to gain controversy-driven attention'.

Mukesh further questioned the film's message as he said, 'Why glorify smuggling and antagonize cops? Is this what we want to convey to the masses?' He also urged filmmakers to move away from glamorizing negativity and told them to create content with meaningful lessons. He added saying, 'Will these actors reduce their salary if films bomb? Pay the writers who truly deserve it'. Well, Pushpa 2: The Rule has become the fastest Indian film to breach the Rs 1000 crore mark and beat Kalki 2898 AD as it becomes the highest-grossing Indian film of 2024.
