So difficult to say who will want to/have to go, but we do need a core of players retained - we can't expect to bring in twenty or so players before the new season, much as we all shout 'clear the deadwood'. Although I wouldn't be bothered to see anyone go really, it would be practical to try and keep some our of better players. I would like to hear a contracted player say 'I want to stay - I helped to get us into this mess and I want to be part of the future going upwards again'.
I'd have a lot of respect for that - of course... Читать дальше...
You need a mixture of both imo. Another reason why we’ve struggled last season, as we had too many flair players, and not enough grafters in the starting 11.
Loan signings are perfect for League One.
- We can pay big wages due to the SCMP rather than P&S
- If they are not good enough and we get promoted, they go back and we aren't saddled with them.
One for discussion…
With the recent success of home-grown players (Jude, Jobe and JJ), as well as the success of the U21 and 18 sides this season, is there the opportunity to rebuild around youth?
Like I say, ‘around youth’. With the drop in level, who has the potential to make the step up? Many have said that having older heads will be important to add the necessary grit and experience. I hear names like Ayling being mentioned. Are there any of the current experienced players who could fulfil the role? Читать дальше...
Living in Coventry has been difficult from a football perspective over the past few seasons because of the glee many of the Coventry fans have greeted our demise.
Some of it is football banter and must be taken on the cheek but then there are those that take it further. All I can say is that the memories of those interactions will stay and I will be reminding them of it once the tide turns!
gabby and bannan giving it large on x and talksport.our time will come, next week for a start.
Right, so unless I’ve got some facts wrong. I believe these are the remaining senior players at the club, ASSUMING nobody re-signs. Ex. I wouldn’t be shocked if Keshi stays.
Who gets pinched, who stays on? If we can pay Championship wages I think more of this lot might do a year than you might expect. I know everyone wants a full clear out, but that just isn’t realistic, let’s be honest. And there’s talent here.

Is that a possibility ?
Whats done is done and I am now ready for the next challenge.
Get them season tickets on sale, clear out the dead wood, have the new fan zones built.
Stop pointing fingers at who or what went wrong, the clubs new custodians will deal with it, I back them 100%
Summer break and then rip into L1.
Blues forward together.

1875-2025 not one period of glorious success, I am looking forward to the dawning of a new era. It can start with a league and trophy double, an away strip paying homage to Small Heath Alliance, full houses, junior supporters club to encourage the kids...
Did anyone notice if Scott Hogan was on the lap of appreciation yesterday ?
We’re going down the route of we’ll bounce bank up with ease and that’s a very dangerous assumption.
There will be teams with actual identities and character and teams will raise their game when they play us.
The two promoted clubs in Wrexham and Stockport will certainly have momentum on their side and will go well again! If Doncaster make it, I fancy them to go well again.
Rotherham proved yesterday what they are going to be about yet we struggled to beat a team... Читать дальше...
The owners effed us this season with decisions relating to on pitch matters
We're a laughing stock right now, fine FEA and all that but they need to put it right next season on the pitch and get us back up straight away, anything less is further failure on the football side
I expect promotion next season
Theyve had loads to say about super stadiums and delivered fantastically well off the pitch, brilliant ... thank you. Now deliver on the pitch

As long as the labour council is still supportive of Tom’s plans for wheels, I don’t really care about the elections.
Labour supports themselves only, Birmingham has been run by a Labour Council for years and have more than contributed enough to some areas of the city becoming the cesspits that they are now, as long as they keep getting backhanders we will be OK regarding the wheels
Surely we offer him a 12 month deal now we are in league 1?
We will need battlers and he will certainly give 110%. Give him the armband also

I’ll be there next season!
A good architect would research all of his components, ensure they have the right properties and quality to suit the overall design and that nothing was missed.
I’m afraid the current incumbent went to B&Q on a trolley dash, did no research (or did it poorly) cobbled together a team of misfits, and missed the most vital part (a bloody striker) completely.
Hence the building collapsed.
Many of us are we just getting on a bit.
We lost a couple of good ones this season as well.
Anyway it was the away form that done for us.
I know some will disagree as he is 37, but I would offer Vardy either a year with a massive promotion bonus or a couple of years, I think it would be worth it.
But yes Langstaff would be a number 1 target.
I was just above the block where this incident happened and he was responsive and sitting up when being wheeled out so hopefully he was ok think he was in his 60/70s hopefully it wasnt anything serious
