Paddling Magazine: See Florida Like Never Before on This 1,000+ Mile Paddling Trail

There are few who have seen more of Florida’s coastline than those who have completed the Florida Circumnavigational Saltwater Paddling Trail, commonly referred to as the CT. Stretching 1,515 miles long, the CT has been dubbed the longest designated national recreation trail in the United States and is considered by some to be a sea kayaker’s version of the Appalachian Trail.

After Journalist Gunned Down In Pakistan, Mourners Call For More Protection

Hundreds of people gathered in Pakistan's Khyber tribal district on June 19 for the funeral of journalist Khalil Afridi, who was gunned down a day earlier in the northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province. No one has claimed responsibility for the attack but Afridi's family said he had faced harassment and death threats. Mourners called on authorities to do more to protect journalists, with at least three deadly attacks in Pakistan over the past year according to domestic and international media watchdogs.
