Admissions Underway for B.Tech Programmes at the Indian Institute of Petroleum and Energy (IIPE)

Visakhapatnam (Andhra Pradesh) [India], June 20: The Indian Institute of Petroleum and Energy (IIPE), recognised as an 'Institute of National Importance' by the Government of India (GoI), has commenced admissions for its four-year B.Tech programmes in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. The admissions cycle, which started on 11th June 2024, will run until 5th July 2024. Classes are scheduled to start from 5th August 2024.

Vijayan urges Centre to address NTA's 'incompetence' in conducting exams

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Thursday urged the Centre to take immediate steps to resolve the crisis in the National Testing Agency (NTA), saying its "repeated incompetence" in conducting exams such as NEET and the UGC-NET cannot be accepted. Indian toxic alcohol brew kills at least 34

Mumbai, India — A batch of toxic illegal alcohol in India has killed at least 34 people with more than 100 others rushed to hospital, Tamil Nadu state officials told reporters Thursday. The deadly mix of locally brewed arrack drink was laced with poisonous methanol, chief minister M.K. Stalin said, the Press Trust of India news agency reported.
