Sun Pharma inks pact with Takeda to introduce gastrointestinal drug in India

Sun Pharmaceutical Industries announced a licensing deal with Takeda Pharmaceutical to market Vonoprazan, a novel gastrointestinal drug, in India. The agreement allows Sun Pharma to commercialize 10 mg and 20 mg tablets of Vonoprazan, an innovative treatment for acid peptic disorders, under a non-exclusive patent license.

Andhra Pradesh assembly session begins, first after TDP-led coalition comes to power

The maiden session of the 13th Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly began with newly-elected MLAs taking oath. The session was presided over by Pro-tem Speaker TDP MLA G Butchaiah Chowdary. CM N Chandrababu Naidu attended after over two years, marking Pawan Kalyan's debut; upcoming elections for Speaker and Deputy Speaker, with TDP's C Ayyannapatrudu favored for Speaker. Naidu and Kalyan took oath, with Naidu exchanging pleasantries as the NDA alliance secured a majority in the elections.

US Stocks End Mixed On Profit-Taking

US equities ended mixed on Thursday with Nasdaq and the S&P 500 having pulled back off their early highs and into negative territory. The Dow ended the day up 299.90 points or 0.8 percent at a nearly one-month closing high of 39,134.76, but the S&P 500 fell 13.86 points or 0.3 percent to 5,473.17 and the Nasdaq slumped 140.64 points or 0.8 percent to 17,721.59.
