School van driver arrested after two girls fall off, injured in Vadodara

Police in Vadodara, Gujarat, arrested Prateek Padhiyar, the driver of a school van, after CCTV footage showed two girls falling off the vehicle in a residential society. The incident, which occurred on June 19, led to public outrage as the footage went viral on social media. Fortunately, the girls only sustained minor injuries. Padhiyar, 23, faces charges for rash and negligent driving, as well as endangering the lives of others, under the Indian Penal Code and the Motor Vehicles Act.
