Maruti Suzuki sales grew by 12% to 1,79,228 units in Jun, exports rise

Automaker Maruti Suzuki India on Monday reported a 12 per cent increase in total wholesales to 1,79,228 units in June. The company had dispatched 1,59,418 units to its dealers in the same month last year, Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) said in a statement. The total domestic passenger vehicle sales were 1,37,160 units last month compared to 1,33,027 units in the year-ago month, a growth of 3 per cent, it added. Sales of mini-segment cars, comprising Alto and S-Presso, declined to 9,395 units from 14,054 units in June 2023. Читать дальше...

Widely acclaimed Albanian novelist Ismail Kadare dies at 88

Acclaimed Albanian writer and longtime Nobel Prize contender Ismail Kadare, who penned novels like "Broken April" and "The General of the Dead Army" chronicling the fate of his country under the rule of communist dictator Enver Hoxha, died of a heart attack in Tirana on Monday aged 88. He had defected to France in 1990 and only recently returned to Albania.

Enviro Infra Engineers files draft papers with Sebi to garner funds via IPO

Enviro Infra Engineers, which is involved in the development of turnkey projects of sewage treatment plants and sewerage system, has filed draft papers with markets regulator Sebi to garner funds through an initial public offering (IPO). The city-based company's proposed IPO is a combination of fresh issue of 4.42 crore equity shares and an offer for sale (OFS) component of 52.68 lakh shares by promoters, according to the draft red herring prospectus (DRHP) filed last week.
