Killing of five Army personnel in Jammu & Kashmir's Kathua will not go unavenged, says government

Five Army personnel were killed and as many injured on Monday when a group of heavily-armed terrorists ambushed a patrolling party in Badnota area in Kathua. A massive search operation has already been launched to hunt down terrorists responsible for the attack. "I am deeply anguished at the loss of five of our brave Indian Army Soldiers in a terrorist attack in Badnota, Kathua (J&K)," the defence minister said on X.

Amid ownership tiff , tribals in Kotia come together to celebrate Rath

Tribes celebrated Rath Yatra at Jagannath Temple, 1,024 metres above sea level in Kotia, amid Odisha-Andhra Pradesh disputes. Established in 2002, the festival saw rituals led by Maguri Tatingi and a tribal headman, with hundreds gathering in traditional attire for chariot-pulling. Managed by Sabara Srikhetra, it drew people from Koraput to Pottangi block.
