Overcast skies, light showers in parts of Mumbai

Mumbai experienced overcast skies and light rains in some western suburbs, causing no major disruptions to road traffic or local trains on Wednesday morning. The IMD Mumbai center forecasted intermittent moderate to heavy rain spells over the next 24 hours. After heavy rainfall earlier in the week, the city saw light showers, with the island city recording 3.42 mm of rain and the eastern and western parts receiving 6.06 mm and 3.83 mm, respectively.

School district responds as Virginia governor bans cellphones in schools

Gov. Glenn Youngkin issued an executive order that allows school districts in Virginia to ban the use of cellphones in public schools. The Hanover County School Board followed suit and voted to not allow students access to their phones, citing technology and social media for the rise in mental health issues in children.
