Asian Paints Q1 Results: Cons PAT drops 24% YoY to Rs 1,170 crore; misses estimates

Asian Paints Q1 Results: The paint manufacturer experienced a 2.3% decrease in consolidated revenue from operations for Q1FY25, reaching Rs 8,943 crore, compared to Rs 9,154 crore in the same quarter of the previous year. Standalone net sales also saw a decline of 2.9%, amounting to Rs 7,853 crore. Profitability was also impacted, with the company's consolidated PBDIT falling by 20.2% to Rs 1,694 crore from Rs 2,121 crore in the previous year. Agbiz encouraged by Steenhuisen’s commitment to advancing industry master plan

Industry body the Agricultural Business Chamber of South Africa (Agbiz) has described Agriculture Minister John Steenhuisen’s maiden Budget Vote speech to be “valuable and focused on relentless implementation”. In his Budget Vote on July 16, Steenhuisen said his focus would be on accelerating the implementation of the Agriculture and Agroprocessing Master Plan (AAMP), which he deemed the framework upon which the inclusive growth of the sector would be based.

Investment of more than €80 million to modernise Latin American production sites.In Santiago de Chile, a 3,500-square-metre solids plant has been completely refurbished, creating a world-class manufacturing facility with a production capacity of 1.8 billion tablets annually.In Quito, Ecuador, a new 1,800-square-metre plant will enable the production of 300 million high-quality tablets annually for pain patients in 17 European countries.

USFDA approves Glenmark Pharma's seizure treatment drug

New Delhi-based Glenmark's USFDA-approved 15 mg and 25 mg Topiramate capsules, equivalent to Janssen's Topamax, will be marketed by Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Inc., USA. Topamax had recorded annual sales worth USD 21.9 million per IQVIATM (till May 2024). Glenmark's US portfolio has 198 products, 50 ANDAs pending, and seeks growth through external development partnerships.
