Karnataka Labor Minister issues clarification on jobs reservation for Kannadigas; here’s what he said

Karnataka's Labor Minister Santosh S Lad clarified that the state government's new bill, which proposes reservations for Kannadigas in private sector jobs, allows for outsourcing from other states if local skills are insufficient. He emphasized Karnataka's abundant skilled workforce from various educational institutions and international investments.

Private train operators brace for Royal dismissal

His Majesty the King is expected to give private passenger train operators their notice today, as he presents the government’s legislative programme in the House of Lords following the Labour landslide in the general election on 4 July. It has been reported that the King’s Speech will include 35 bills, one of which will create the new ‘directing mind’, Great British Railways. Survey confirms farmers remain innovative during crisis periods

A survey conducted by the Human Sciences Research Council (HSRC) finds that more than two-thirds of local agribusinesses managed to implement innovative activities between 2019 and 2021, despite disruptions caused by the Covid-19 pandemic and other challenges. The respondents to the South African Agricultural Business Innovation Survey indicated that 63% of these businesses had undertaken process innovations, while 38.5% of respondents had undertaken product innovations.

The Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Society Cyprus elected a new board of directors at this week’s AGM.
