2018 firing on anti-sterile protesters in Tuticorin was pre-planned: Madaras High Court

The Madras High Court deemed the firing on anti-sterile protesters in Tuticorin in 2018 preplanned, involving an industrialist orchestrating a lesson, prompting scrutiny of officers' assets from 2016 to 2020. Criticising the CBI's investigation, the court questioned the agency's exoneration of indicted authorities. It ordered a DVAC probe and asset review within two weeks, following activist Henri Tiphagne's plea to reopen the NHRC-closed investigation.
