Gonda train accident: Death toll rises to 4, number of injured at 32

The death toll in the Chandigarh-Dibrugarh Express derailment in Uttar Pradesh's Gonda has risen to four, while 31 people were injured in the incident, an official said on Friday. Eight coaches of the train had derailed between Motiganj and Jhilahi railway stations, about 150 km from the state capital, on the Gonda-Gorakhpur section of the Northeast Railway on Thursday afternoon. Mysterious woman lures auditor with hotel offer, rob him of Rs 10 lakh in Tamil Nadu; 3 arrested

Three individuals were arrested in Coimbatore for kidnapping an auditor and robbing him of Rs 10 lakhs at knife point. The suspects, including a real estate agent and a deserter from the Indian Army, were apprehended by the police. The victim, lured by a woman's offer of a hotel deal in Theni, reported the incident to the authorities. Investigations are ongoing to locate the absconding accomplice.

CBI questions Ranchi MBBS student in connection with NEET-UG paper leak

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is questioning a first-year MBBS student from the 2023 batch of RIMS in connection with the NEET-UG paper leak case, an official said on Friday. The student, who stays at the girls' hostel of Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), formerly known as Rajendra Medical College and Hospital (RMCH), an autonomous institute under the Jharkhand government, was approached by the CBI earlier this week for questioning.
