Uruguayan FM hopes Venezuela holds peaceful elections

In the week prior to Venezuela's elections, Uruguayan Foreign Minister Omar Paganini insisted that "it is time to defend democracy" in that country so "that the people can freely choose their government." He also called for the process to be held "in peace" and hoped that the votes would be "counted with transparency." After that, he wished the outcome would be accepted by all those involved.

Major fire on merchant navy ship off Karnataka coast doused: Coast Guard

On July 19, MV Maersk Frankfurt, carrying dangerous cargo from Mundra to Colombo, caught fire off the Karwar coast and is now 13 nautical miles from New Mangalore. One crew member died. ICGS Samudra Prahari and Sachet, along with an initial team, are managing minor fires and keeping the vessel in deeper waters.

The Indian government has reinstated interest subsidy under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) 2.0 and allocated Rs 4,000 crore for the Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme (CLSS). Court grants bail to Delhi minister Atishi in defamation case

The judge granted the relief to the senior AAP leader on a bail bond of Rs 20,000 and one surety of the like amount.
