Rajya Sabha witnesses noisy scenes over BJP's demand to raise corruption in Karnataka

Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar rejected notices from ruling party members to suspend listed business to discuss corruption in Karnataka, but allowed BJP member Iranna Kadadi to raise the matter. Treasury members protested the rejection of the notices under Rule 267 of procedure and conduct of business. Opposition, mainly Congress MPs, objected to the Chair's permission for Kadadi to raise the issue as part of his Zero Hour mention.

SpaceX cleared to launch Falcon 9 rocket again

The rocket, a prolific launch vehicle that propels both satellites and astronauts into orbit, experienced an anomaly during a launch on July 11 in its second stage booster that meant it failed to deploy 20 Starlink satellites at a high enough altitude, and all burnt up on re-entry through Earth's atmosphere.

Thursday 25 July

Thursday was full on, with 5 races on the Orange and Black courses and a disco late into the evening. Thankfully the wind gods played ball, with west-south-west winds blowing consistently most of the day.
