Firefighters get some help from cooler temperatures after California's largest wildfire explodes

Thousands of firefighters battling a wildfire in northern California received some help from the weather Saturday morning, just hours after the blaze exploded in size, sending massive, swirling plumes skyward and scorching an area about the size of Los Angeles. The blaze was one of several tearing through the western United States and Canada, fueled by wind and heat.

ED attaches over Rs 298-cr assets of Chettinad group company

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) attached assets worth more than Rs 298 crore from a Chettinad Group subsidiary as part of a money laundering investigation. The complaint involved former TANGEDCO officials and SICPL. Between 2011-2019, Rs 908.79 crore was the loss to TANGEDCO in a Visakhapatnam port coal handling case, prompting ED's action and provisional order.
