Data centre stock increases by 21% in H1 2024

During H1 2024, over 71 MW of IT capacity was added in key data centre micromarkets, with total stock growing by 21% year-on-year to 942 MW. Transactions totaling around 200 MW occurred, driven by hyperscalers, BFSI, IT & ITeS, and service sectors. Demand is projected to hit 400 MW by the end of 2024, with Mumbai leading in capacity share. The industry is witnessing a shift towards enterprise colocation due to various cost and scalability factors.
