Over 13 lakh Indian students pursuing higher studies abroad in 2024: Govt

In 2024, over 1.33 million Indian students are studying abroad, according to data shared by Minister of State for External Affairs Kirti Vardhan Singh in Parliament. The figure shows a steady increase from previous years: 1.32 million in 2023 and 907,404 in 2022. Indian students are spread across 108 countries, with significant numbers in Canada (42,700), the US (337,630), and China (8,580).
