BANGUI, Central African Republic — African health officials said mpox cases have spiked by 160% so far this year, warning the risk of further spread is high given the lack of effective treatments or vaccines on the continent. The mother of a 12-year-old girl in Ayodhya has accused a Bahujan Samaj Party leader of asking her to compromise in a gang-rape case. The mother made the allegation after a party delegation visited her house. The incident involved two men, Moid Khan and Raju Khan, who raped the girl two months ago and recorded the act.
