In the April-June period, high-end housing units priced above one crore rupees saw significant sales and launches, with 43% of new launches and 38% of sales falling into this category, according to PropTiger.com. However, affordable housing's share decreased due to rising construction and land costs. The proportion of units priced up to Rs 45 lakh dropped to 15% of new launches.

SC to hear plea of students against Bombay HC verdict upholding ban on hijab, burqa in college

The Supreme Court has ordered the listing of a plea challenging the Bombay High Court's decision to uphold a Mumbai college's ban on wearing hijab, burqa, and naqab inside the campus. The court had refused to interfere with the decision, stating that such rules do not violate students' fundamental rights. The court has already assigned a bench for the matter and will list it soon.
