The Jeff Robbins’ column, Aug. 8, about the urgent need for national reconciliation was profound. He emphasized that we the people are badly fatigued by divisions in our nation that have gotten so deep and toxic and have gone on for so long that we are at a serious danger point in our nation. He says what we really already know, that it’s up to us citizens to stop our hatred and move forward for the common good. I totally agree with him. I’m sad and scared about the divisive and hateful situation in our country.
