Enrolment date for Maharashtra govt's Ladki Bahin Yojana extended till September 30

The Maharashtra government has extended the deadline for enrolment under the Ladki Bahin Yojana to September 30. The scheme, providing Rs 1,500 monthly to underprivileged women, was initially set to close on July 31. The extension follows an overwhelming response from potential beneficiaries.

Indian para-shuttler Suhas Yathiraj is an emotional mess after his second successive Paralympic silver. A part of him is proud of the achievement but then he is also grappling with feelings of "sadness and disappointment" at missing out on gold. Top 10 finishes for Kerr-Horan and McKenna at Paralympics

Ireland’s Para Dressage athletes began their Paralympics campaigns this morning with top 10 Grade III Individual finishes for Kate Kerr-Horan and Jessica McKenna. Kerr-Horan was first into the arena on board Lykkebo’s Don Akino, with the combination scoring 65.867% at a rain-soaked Chateua De Versailles. Fifth to go, the pair grew very well into their test and Kerr-Horan was delighted with Lykkebo’s Don Akino leaving the arena to a warm reception from the crowd, finishing ninth overall, just shy of qualification for Saturday’s Freestyle.
