Cyclone Fengal made landfall near Puducherry and remained stationary, gradually weakening. The Chennai airport resumed operations after being suspended, with multiple flight cancellations and delays. Puducherry recorded its highest rainfall of 46 cm, and Mailam in Tamil Nadu recorded 50 cm. The cyclone was expected to weaken into a deep depression over northern coastal Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
