Dangerous winter storm buries parts of Great Lakes region in feet of snow

Parts of New York, Michigan, Ohio and Pennsylvania have been walloped by a major winter storm that dropped feet of lake-effect snow over the weekend. Additional alcohol excise tax hike canceled for next year

The Riigikogu Finance Committee has decided that the additional increase in alcohol excise duty planned for next year will not take place. According to the committee, the state would lose revenue as a result of increased cross-border trade and the growth of the black market that such a rise would cause.
