To the editor: How Trump broke mold with minority voters

At age 30, many would have considered my life over, and my destiny set in stone. I had been homeless, a high school dropout, and victim of a workplace accident that left me disabled. But as I lay in bed, unable to work, with no clear path forward, I turned to God in countless conversations. Those moments of reflection and prayer ignited a spark within me.

Mark V. Simon, 1963-2024: BGSU political science professor championed peace

BOWLING GREEN — Marc Vanderhaar Simon, a political science associate professor and department chairman at Bowling Green State University respected as a political expert and a scholar of war, political violence, and conflict resolution, died Dec. 5 at Bridge Hospice Care Center in Bowling Green. He was 61.
