Germany's Scholz loses confidence vote, setting up election in February

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz lost a confidence vote in parliament, paving the way for a snap election on February 23rd. His three-party coalition collapsed last month, triggering the need for the vote. President Steinmeier is expected to dissolve parliament after Christmas, officially setting the election date.

The Solicitor General of the Federation and Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Justice, Beatrice Jedy-Agba, has called for a centralized criminal registry system in the country to help strengthen the Nigerian justice sector. Jedy-Agba noted that leveraging technology is an essential key in justice delivery as an ineffective case management system contributes to reoccurring inefficiencies.

The Hamburger Segel Club in Germany hosted 42 boats with 186 participants for the Father Frost Regatta. The HSC RC team did an excellent job in the challenging lake winds to run seven exciting races in three classes. Despite the foggy November weather, sailors were able to start fantastic races and experience the beautiful Alster Lake to the fullest with light winds.
