KKR, Bain bids ranged from $4.8 bn to $7.6 bn for Seven & i assets

Private equity firms KKR and Bain Capital made offers for the non-core assets of Japan's Seven & i Holdings. KKR offered around 800 billion yen while Bain offered about 1.2 trillion yen. Japan Industrial Partners also participated with a 750 billion yen bid. The bids were for the supermarket assets of the 7-Eleven operator.

Himachal Pradesh: Normal life disrupted as snow, rain leads to road blocks, power outages

Punjab police arrest serial killer for murdering 11 men, writing 'dhokebaaz' on one victim's back after payment disputes

Ropar police have arrested Ram Saroop for allegedly killing 11 men over the past 18 months. The murders occurred after encounters or altercations, often involving sexual acts. Saroop, abandoned by his family, strangled or inflicted head injuries on his victims. Investigations are ongoing to uncover more details and trace other cases. He is currently in police remand.
